Pitter patter, lets get at ’er.
If you don’t have Hulu, hack an account immediately because you have a show to watch. Not because Hulu is great (it’s not), but because it’s home to a modern day classic Letterkenny. So unless you somehow have access to CraveTV ya weirdo, get it.
Set in a fictional small town in the middle of nowhere Ontario, Canada, Letterkenny follows a cast of oddballs as they try to better their town and keep the degens out. If you’re a fan of Trailer Park Boys or British humor, you are sure to enjoy this output from the great Canadia.
Every episode begins with a title card that lets you know "There are 5000 people in Letterkenny. These are their problems." You will enjoy each and every one of them. The jokes come at a breakneck speed and are easy to miss. Luckily, the episodes are well written and funny enough to re-watch, where you’re sure to catch a few more jokes and find more quotable one-liners you missed the first time through, such as "Does a duck with a boner drag weeds?" If you’ve stagnated at calling people dusters, the chirpy character Shoresy is sure to teach you zingers to put the best trash talkers on the ice to shame.
The show follows the daily adventures of Wayne (Jared Keeso, creator and writer), Daryl, Squirrely Dan, Katy, as well as a revolving cast of sidekicks including skids, swingers, and hockey players as they address issues facing the town. With such a large cast of recurring characters, the show is still able to deliver and delve into the backstories of each, as well as give arcs and development to each. To be fair, the show has a fairly consistent setup of introducing the upcoming dilemmas in the first few minutes with fast paced banter usually riffing around witty wordplay and creative nicknames.

And finally, the best part about the show is that it’s still ongoing, with a new season set to release later this year. And oh yeah, Bonnie McMurray. YEW!
