If you know me, then you know I will play this song almost any opportunity I get (not just summer). But! During the summer, this song is extra special because I can play it outside. The state of Flo Rida himself made this classic jam so that you can shout it at your guests at any house party you host. It got me through many college parties at our college house and many more at my first apartment in Bucktown. If people hear this jam on the sidewalk, they know the house is a-rockin.
Fun fact: if you play this song in another person’s home, that house legally becomes yours. Try it out at your neighbor’s next game night!

Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffet
No, I'm not a parrot head. Nor a Key West resident. I’m just someone who enjoys the sun, surf and of course… a margarita. Everything about this song screams Summer jam. Tropical themed percussion. Laid back lyrics. Shares the name with a popular beach resort and restaurant. So this summer sit back in your beach (or lawn) chair, grab a beverage (might I suggest a margarita), and put this song on repeat. Just make sure not to blow out your flip flop…

I love to have fun! And what's more fun that jamming out of French pop in a Toyota Highlander with your hairless cat sitting shotgun? Jealous of my life? I think you should be, cause hairy cats are overrated.
Watch out, though. If you don’t know French, you can’t sing along. But don’t let that stop you. I haven’t. I just mumble along and hit the periodic high notes that make it seems like I'm cultured to someone stopped next to me at a stoplight. It’s part of my summer journeyyyy.

In my opinion this song should be the required soundtrack to any movie montage that takes place in the summer.
It just feels like it’s the song that needs to be played when you’re driving with the windows down on a breezy sunny day on your way to the beach with all your friends.
